Project management - classic or agile

Are conventional disciplines passé?

Agile project management approaches provide valuable services. With short, manageable iterations and reviews for quality assurance at the end of the iteration and with plan corrections before each new iteration, transparency in the project is increased and project success is ensured.

Although this knowledge has been established in practice, there are still uncertainties regarding the different application possibilities of agile procedures. In addition, questions arise about central project management disciplines such as risk management, quality management and reporting and their role in agile projects.

In this Eraneos FOKUS we show which paths an organization can take to agility and that conventional project management disciplines are not a phase-out model, but rather that they significantly strengthen the professionalization of project execution in both classic and agile settings.
