Work-Life-Balance at the AWK
Through project-based work, our employees assume responsibility after a short time, whether for individual tasks or for entire projects. A high degree of independence, frequent customer contact and teamwork are the rule.
95 % Work, 5 % Life? Not with us! Consultants must be customer-oriented, motivated and committed. In the long run, they can only do this if they can recharge their batteries in their free time.
Thanks to flexible working hours and an annual working time model, all employees are to a certain extent allowed to decide for themselves when and how much they want to work. Part-time work is also possible. Work is carried out in one of the AWK offices, at the customer's premises, on the road or at home - modern ICT equipment allows this freedom.
New employees feel welcome and comfortable with us quickly. The fact that our employees enjoy working for AWK is also reflected in our above-average ratings. Events by and for employees
In addition to their work, AWK employees have the opportunity to exchange ideas privately at regular events and to expand their network. AWK offers various events and activities for every taste, often spontaneously organized by employees. Recreational sportsmen and women meet for joint running training, climbing, football or ice hockey tournaments. For wine lovers there is a wine tasting every few months. In the AWK lounges in Zurich and Berne, after work, people like to be invited and celebrated for an aperitif or a small party.
The area excursions combine technical topics with social aspects and are very popular. Other fun activities include the joint ski trip in February, the traditional Badehüsli Festival in June, the Aare Festival in August, the AWK company outing in September and, as a culinary highlight, the Christmas dinner in December.
