Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA)
On 26 June 2019, the Federal Council published the draft bill to amend the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA). At the same time, the results report of the consultation process, which was concluded on 21 September 2018, was published. The Federal Assembly will now discuss the bill in the upcoming autumn and winter sessions. The innovations are to enter into force on 1 January 2021 at the earliest. This means that regulation in the area of combating money laundering continues to advance.
