Great police musical experience

Eraneos supported 18th Swiss Police Music Meeting

A successful party with around 750 musicians on the weekend of 9 and 10 June 2018 in the city of St. Gallen delighted the audience. The Swiss Police Music Meeting takes place every 3 to 4 years in different Swiss cities. This year the Police Music St. Gallen celebrated its 100th anniversary. The first Police Music Meeting was held in St. Gallen in 1946.

On Saturday, all 18 music formations parade through the city centre of St. Gallen to the OLMA site in a large, festive procession and presented themselves to the applauding public. Also present were the two representatives of the Eraneos Security & Rescue market division, Peter Hunziker and Jürg Schaub.

The various police music from all over Switzerland then offered great concerts on the OLMA grounds. The overall choir of all police musicians was impressive and presented a piece composed for the festival.

The simultaneous performance show of the cantonal and city police of St. Gallen was a thrilling experience with exciting live demonstrations and a diverse exhibition. The spectators could experience police dogs or the grenadiers of the special unit in action. Children and other interested people made their first diving attempts in a large water basin under the expert guidance of the police divers.

In the evening, selected music formations offered concerts and entertainment for around 1000 invited guests and musicians. On Sunday, further concerts for the public took place in various communities around St. Gallen.

Eraneos congratulates the organisers and the music formations on this successful, professional festival.
