"Digital Strategy City of Bern 2021" adopted

For many years, Eraneos has supported the city of Bern in the areas of digitisation, e-government and information technology. Eraneos was also significantly involved in the development of the "Digital Strategy City of Bern 2021". With the adoption of the municipal digital strategy, the municipal council paved the way for the digital transformation of the municipal administration.

The "Digital Strategy City of Bern 2021" is intended to implement the legislative guidelines 2017 to 2020 under the motto "City of Participation". With appropriate digitisation measures, the municipal council would like to promote both the networking of people and infrastructures as well as participation and integration.

The previous concepts on "e-government" have been integrated into the "Digital Strategy City of Bern 2021". In addition to the further expansion of the digital range of services, the main focus will be on the development of key digital competencies among staff and the increased provision of data as "open data".

The objectives of the "Digital Strategy City of Bern 2021" are defined in three fields of action:

• The field of action "Partners" describes the interaction between the city administration and the population as well as the municipal partners.
• The field of action "City Administration and Employees" comprises projects for the effective use of information and communication technologies.
• The field of action "Information Technology and Communication Infrastructure" contains projects to secure and further develop the existing IT infrastructure.
