SBB attests to Eraneos's strong use of the railways and thus its considerable avoidance of CO₂ and fuel.

As an ISO 14001-certified environmental management company, Eraneos reports every year on the environmental impact it has caused (see Eraneos Group's environmental policy). For a consulting firm such as Eraneos, the emissions caused by mobility are particularly relevant to the environment.

More than 200 Eraneos employees travel almost exclusively by public transport to work and to their customers, which is why the emissions caused by mobility are very low. The car is rarely used, so that less than 5% of travel expenses are incurred by the car.

Every year, SBB prepares an emissions report for Eraneos based on the tickets and subscriptions purchased. The CO₂ savings achieved by using public transport in 2016 amount to around 573 tonnes. This corresponds to approx. 213,000 litres of diesel saved.
